It's funny how sometimes we as humans tend to get caught up in having to do something drastic to have a little fun. Because lets face the facts, it's not always easy to book a ticket and leave for a month. Although we don't let life get in the way as an excuse, we do constantly seek to find adventure right outside our front door.

This past weekend my husband and I decided to take a little cruise of San Diego Harbor just for fun. It was primarily exploring the military and naval base which was very interesting to learn about, but we also got to see some of San Diego's most well known landmarks besides the naval base, including Hotel Del Coronado, Point Loma, a few hidden away resorts and the Coronado Bridge. We enjoyed the two hour boat ride and relaxed in the sun, breathing in the salty air!

The great thing about Flagship cruises is that afterwards you're in the heart of downtown! Chase and I enjoyed a delicious salmon sandwich right there at a cute cafe on the bay. It was beautiful watching the sunset and enjoying the change of scenery. And let's not forget, it's about a 10-15 minute walk from Little Italy. SCORE!

FYI: Pop on over to Without Walls and read our feature on how to plan a trip with your friends! Spring break is right around the corner, so now is the time people :)

FREAKY FRIDAY

3/14/14

The day after our hair makeover by the amazing Ken Paves, we decided to strut our new doos around LA for some shopping and a night on the town. We couldn't believe how differently people looked at us. This was the first time in our lives that we weren't being stared at for looking alike. We were even referred to as "friends" by someone in the dressing room! Friends? Never. Never has that happened.

We feel sort of liberated as our individuality shines through our locks! The lighting in these pictures isn't that great, but you get the idea. After our first appointment with Ken we had to go back two other times for Kylie and Lisa to get their color touched up--it was quite the process! Me on the other hand, I just got to watch and try not to be a nuisance to everyone else in the salon.

If you watched our episode on The Doctors then you might be wondering who is the organic one, the rocker one, and the playful one. Well--is it not obvious? Lisa has the organic ombre blonde which gives her a more natural darker root to avoid weird growing out, Kylie has the rockin' red hair that just looks sexy and messy, and I got the 60s mod hair that is playful and feminine.

Enough about hair. You're probably sick of hearing about it. We just like being triplets that's all.

FREAKY FRIDAY - OUR FIRST TV DEBUT

3/7/14

What we're really thinking is how we are all about to puke from nerves...

Here you go Doctors, we're ready for ya! Looking very triplet-esque per request of the producer, we took our nervous selves to the most beautiful and chic cottage inspired space, Ken Paves Salon, in Beverly Hills for a makeover.

Today is the day our television episode airs! Check your local listings on the Doctors website HERE to know when to tune in! The suspense of waiting to see our hair reveal is finally over!

Ken and his colorists Lisa, Christina, and Ana did an absolutely amazing job at making us feel and look beautiful, inside and out. We couldn't have asked for a better and more fun experience. We seriously had a great time and loved developing friendships with the people who worked on our crazy natural curly manes. They made us feel gorgeous and grateful for our unique hair and gave us tips on how to better manage and care for it.

Ken sure did prove his point on the show: any woman can pull off any look and color she wants as long as it's done in the right tone. It was an opportunity to be brave and try something new, and if you've been contemplating chopping your locks or getting a drastic color change, go for it, because you are beautiful! If you knew how afraid we were of this whole experience you would laugh your heads off. Our hair was in good hands and we feel so lucky to have been a part of this and hope to inspire women everywhere to embrace their inner beauty and express it outwardly with a gorgeous fresh look!

KYLIE

Long all natural colored hair with long side swoop bangs.

LISA

Long natural to golden ombre with lots of layers and medium length bangs.

MEGAN

Long and thick dark darker colored hair with peekaboo lowlights and short side swoop bangs.

And there you have it, the before shots! We walked in looking like clones and walked out looking like individuals with actual hair styles! Absolutely incredible the difference hair makes on the way you can look.

Stay tuned, we will post after pictures soon along with personal tid bits of the whole experience. Thank you for all your kind words and support through this crazy exciting journey with us. We appreciate our readers and the love you share with us.

xo,
