If you don't mind spending a few extra bucks, you can just rent right on the beach before paddling out. Waikiki is good for longboarding, so experiment with a 10-12' board and have some fun with it! This place is like one gigantic swimming pool. Always brimming with tourists, you gotta come with an open mind knowing that it's going to be busy and filled with people and you'll probably get bonked a couple times. The beauty of learning, am I right? I always love a fun Waikiki day - rollers for days!
