Activity: City Overlook Destination: Double Peak Park Location: San Marcos
Double Peak is a beautiful park that overlooks San Marcos and North County San Diego. The view of the foothills and ocean is beautiful and definitely draws in a lot of visitors to our area. I had to wait in line with the little kids for my turn peaking through the telescope, I forgot how fun those things are!
Being that high above the rest of the world when everything looks so tiny really helps put life into perspective. People come here to relax, picnic and slow life down a bit. It's this outlook that reminds us that life is to be enjoyed one day at a time. Slow down, take a deep breath and remember it's the little things in life that make us the most happy.
Wow double peak park looks breathtaking, I seriously wish cool places like this existed in the UK! I think this year is the year I finally come to California!

ReplyDeleteI love traveling to places that help me reflect on life and what is most important to me. For me, Egypt was one of those places (loads of my photos here). Probably because of the shock of being in such a foreign place so far from home. It really makes you appreciate all that you have in life.
