If you're ever in the mood for something a little different than the usual tent camping or hotel room, then renting a yurt might be just the thing you're looking for! With a little of the best from both worlds, you can enjoy comfort and the feeling of being outdoors at the same time.



Location: Newport, Oregon / Destination: South Beach State Park / Yurt: $44

The yurts in South Beach State Park can easily sleep up to 5 people and dogs are allowed. They come heated for the cooler months and on each site is a patio, picnic tables, and fire pit for outdoor cooking. Located close enough to the beach you can relax to the sound of ocean waves without a worry in the world. The campground is clean and provides public bathrooms and showers for their campers.

Oregon knows how to take care of their tenants and we just keep coming back for more!

    If you're staying in a yurt (two are pet friendly) over New Year's Eve, be sure to join the South Beach First Day Hike on Jan. 1, 2015 at 9 a.m. Discover how the jetty formed the beach, learn about native plants, and enjoy scenic views of historic lighthouses and the Yaquina Bay Bridge. Pets on a leash can join the hike, too!
