San Diego has more to offer besides fun surf and great weather. Los Penasquitos Canyon is located in Rancho Penasquitos, providing a 6.1 mile loop for hikers and bikers. We decided to blaze our way to this rad little water hole to cool off. Most of the hike will take you through the desert and along a pretty stream, making it perfectly family and/or dog friendly. Despite California's drought, we were pleasantly surprised with the falls. Get outside and explore! There is so much to see within our tiny atlas and hikes are the perfect way to do just that.
