Destination: County Line / Distance from LA: about 1 hour / Accommodation: Leo Carillo campsite
One of our new fav spots to surf in LA county is County Line (which is on the county line of LA and Ventura...fitting, right?). It's just after Leo Carillo, which is also a rad spot. There's plenty of roadside parking on the PCH and you get to go on a little hike down to the beach. It's a beautiful spot, with pleeeennnntttttty of sand and waves for everyone to share. The break goes all along the shoreline so you can pretty much jump in anywhere you want. I surf to have fun, so I'm not out to conquer anything other than fun-having, and this spot has good vibes all around. Don't forget to bring along a pic-nic for your post-surf hunger pains, and if I do say so myself - a cheese platter and hot cocoa will do the trick.
