hi there! i just thought i'd answer your question here. the best way to travel between islands of hawaii is by PLANE haha... fly with hawaiian airlines. it's easier and cheaper if you just fly straight to oahu (honolulu) and then bounce around from there! the cheapest time to fly there is jan-april, most likely. high season is all summer. winter is HUGE because that's when all the big swell/surf comps are, so prices will go up thru the holiday season. and lastly, the best places to fly out of are portland, LA or phoenix for more frequent "deals" but anywhere will do!
