MY LIGHT, MY LIFE

Today I want to try and focus on one of the greatest blessings I have in my life, and that is my sisters (surprise, surprise). I know they know all this --- but they are the light of my life. When I really sit down and think about what matters most, I remember the most important things in life aren't things but people. Our relationships are the stuff of life that keep us going. We can't get through any of it alone without the love and support of people who care about us. I feel so genuinely blessed to have my two best friends to talk to about life's biggest problems, my deepest fears and greatest sorrows. We understand each other on a deep level, yet at the same time we're always learning something new about each other. Sometimes we don't know everything about what's going on in each other's lives, living apart and in different circumstances with different trials --- but we know that in each other there is a safe place. A safe place to share the innermost thoughts and feelings of our hearts --- an unbreakable trust that is innate to our sisterhood. When I'm having an especially glum day, I know just where to go for comfort. If I need to put a smile back on my face, I know just the source to get it. If I need a listening ear, I know just who to turn to. Without them, I am simply not whole - I am only a third, and I wouldn't want it any other way. I love you, sissies.
