Destination: Vernal Fall / Activity: Hiking / Location: Yosemite National Park |
There are no words. Yosemite is a magical land full of magical things and places. My friends and I hiked to Vernal Falls on a crisp Autumn day, making the 2.5 mile hike to see the majestic 317 ft waterfall spewing from the rocks. This hike takes about 3 hours and is pretty strenuous, so you'll want to bring some snacks to keep your energy up. Begin your hike at the Happy Isles trailhead and soak in the views along the way. Somewhere along the trail you'll see another trailhead branch off - the John Muir trail - stay on track for the Mist's Trail and you'll make it to the falls in no time. There are a number of switchbacks, and quite a few cement stairs as you approach the falls. You'll hear the roar of the water rushing over the rocks as you near the destination, and you'll know you made it!
Oh my! Such great photos!
