We came into this world several weeks early. When I think about how precious life is, especially after having my first born, I realize more and more how much of a miracle we were. That might sound like a weird thing to say, but it's true.
I can't help but think of our mother recovering from a c-section, running back and forth from the hospital every day for over two weeks visiting us, and then going back home to take care of her three other children all under the age of six. When I ask her how she did it, she doesn't seem to remember. "It was all a blur", she says. Yet somehow she managed.
I like to think my mom is some sort of super-mom, but I know she would never say that. She would say we are never given something we can't handle. She was meant to be our mom, and we were meant to be together.

ReplyDeleteI'm a triplet too! With 2 brothers. We were all born 2 months early so it was a really scary 2 months for my parents and I kind off forget how amazing triplets are (if that doesn't sound too vain, I hope not)

ReplyDeleteI didn't have multiples, but I did give birth to my daughter at 25 weeks this past July. She spent 5 1/2 months in the NICU and came home on Christmas Eve. I'm glad you guys were able to go home after just 2 weeks! That's nothing. :)
