TASTY TUESDAY

Poke

Country of Origin: United States, Hawaii

Aloha! Here in Hawaii there is this delicious famous dish we call Poke. Poke is delicious raw fish served over rice. In Hawaii this fish is referred to as "ahi" and on the mainland it is commonly known as "tuna". It is absolutely delicious and healthy, and this is coming from a person (triplet #2) who used to despise fish and especially the idea of eating it raw. Give it a try, you will love it. It is simple to make and take to the beach in a tupperware!

Ingredients:

2 pounds fresh tuna steaks, cubed
1 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup chopped green onion
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper

Directions:

In a medium size bowl, mix ahi, soy sauce, green onion, oil, sesame sees, and red pepper
For best flavor, refrigerate 2 hours before serving
Top over 1/2 cup fresh cooked rice (or however much you please)

Also, we're talking about Barca futbol over here today!
