When Chase turned 19 he went on to live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for two years and learned French. He loved the people there and even came home with a cute French-Canadian accent. So this has gotten us thinking... a trip to Canada sounds like a fantastic plan to freshen our memory. Check out these condos from Evolo I found that are just minutes from downtown Montreal! The waterfront views are amazing. I think it's time to go back.

I'm from Edmonton, Alberta and wouldn't have it any other way! If you come to Canada a trip to Banff, Alberta is a must! You'll fall in love. The hot springs, mountains and hiking trails are to die for!

ReplyDeleteI'm from Nanaimo on the island, just a couple hours north of Victoria! Come back to the island - it's just so beautiful! I go to school in Vancouver, and I love how amazing it is here. Actually I'm going surfing on Monday in Tofino when I go back to my dear island for Easter weekend :) Should be cold but FUN of course! If any of you are ever in Vancouver/Island area I'd love to play tour guide - it's the best place for summer!

DeleteYeah Tofino's a great little place, and it's a fun road trip crossing the island to get there, too! The neighbour town of Uclulet is cute too, there's tons of places along to way to stop at. Doooo it!

DeleteI second a visit to Winnipeg in the summer! It is a very underrated city but there is so much to do here (when the weather is warm...).
DeleteBanff National Park is absolutely beautiful. My favorite part is Lake Louise. You can rent canoes and go out into the middle of the lake or hike around the lake. There's also Jasper National Park which is also gorgeous. It has the Columbia Icefield which is an awesome and fun experience.
ReplyDeleteMontreal is amazing! So many cute restaurants, cafes, and galleries. And the architecture along the 'Plateau' is simply charming! :)
ReplyDeleteI went to university in Halifax and it has been my favourite city in Canada since. It is such a fun town with tons of amazing bars, galleries, and shops; it also has a great music scene. It is right on the Atlantic ocean, so there are so many opportunities to get the beach and be on the water. I haven't been back in over a year and I am dying to return!
ReplyDeleteI also love Victoria, Quebec City, and the Rocky Mountains. Oh, and PEI. And the prairies. What can I say, Canada is my favourite country and I am as patriotic as they come!

ReplyDeleteCanada obviously has lots of sites to see, seeing that it is the second largest landmass in the world.
I originally hail from Calgary, Alberta.
Banff is a MUST. Like others have said, it is so beautful and Lake Louise is really pretty too! Plus if you time it just right (beginning of July) you can attend the Calgary Stampede (the greatest outdoor show on earth) its a huge rodeo for 10 days. Legit.
If the east coast fancies your eye, you may like to take a trip over to Newfoundland. I lived here for a year. People talk really crazy but I LOVE it. It's really pretty downtown because it's such an old place. While over there I suppose you could also venture to P.E.I (Prince Edward Island) and Nova Scotia. They are all islands (big ones) and it really has such an atlantic feel compared to a pacific feel.

ReplyDeleteYou really must visit the East Coast in the summertime. The beaches in Nova Scotia and on Prince Edward Island are absolutely incredible with warm water and the white and red sands! That, plus the fresh seafood and fiddle music should be enough to convince you! There's surfing in southern Nova Scoia, too. And whale watching. And lighthouses. The Highlands of Cape Breton are a fun place too, a gorgeous drive along the cliffs and lots of moose to see. You would love the city of Halifax, too! So much arts & culture & incredible food. I can't speak highly enough of this wonderful place!!!

MONTREAL is definitely a must-see! i lived an hour outside of the city for a few years and it is still one of my favorite places in the whole-wide-world. be sure to rent a car and head on down to quebec city if you go to quebec----it's one of the oldest cities in north america, and it's only 5 hrs away from montreal!
