i was so excited to meet my relatives in southern france! they live in a tiny village called montfort sur argens in provence. their home is decorated with their own paintings and has a gorgeous view of their garden and vineyards. i could live in their sunroom with their fat cat and maybe even take a stab at painting.
our grandmother is french and she has a few brothers who still live in france. i got to meet one of them, christian. he was just a hoot! we had a great time. christian dedicates an hour every day to studying english, and i was so impressed with how well he spoke. even though he won't admit it.
his wife, jacqueline, was the nicest lady you could possibly meet. she cooked delicious food, made a great host, and even bought me a thrifted coat because it was so dang cold- especially for southern france!
christian and jacqueline were amazing tour guides as they walked us through their village and several others. we learned so much about france and what makes it so charming. i sure do love mr. and mrs. rolfe!

ReplyDeleteLOVED this! I also loved their sunroom. I could have totally stayed out there all day and eaten cheese and bread. Yum! Isn't Jacqueline the best cook?! Best hosts ever!! And I ADORE that photo of Christian carrying all those baguettes. So typical. ha ha
