MARSHALL ISLANDS

3/30/11

on the flight to and from tuvalu, we stopped in the marshall islands to refuel. during our time there, we spent most of it teaching workshops to the LDS members in the community on time management, goal planning, interview skills, business etiquette, and entrepreneurship. it was an enlightening experience and especially rewarding to see the smiling faces and anxiousness to participate and engage in our conversations and discussions. the marshall islands are small and beautiful - and very flat. the highest point is a bridge - which is probably about 20 feet above sea level. it is hot and muggy - just like tuvalu - and you are drenched with sweat, dripping and sticky. the people were kind and loving and happy to see us on the island. if you ever go to the marshalls, plan on being fed a gigantic feast by your newfound friends and make time to serve others.
